A 12 month prepaid Homeowner’s Insurance Policy is required for closing.  Proof of the paid insurance or a premium amount due along with a declarations page is required to be sent to the Lender’s attorney (susandassow@perrielaw.com) and to the closing attorney at least 2 days prior to closing.

**The premium payment may be made by you, or it can be collected on the closing statement.

**Monthly payments for the insurance premium are not allowed.

**The insurance policy must be appropriate for the property.

**The dollar amount of coverage must be at least the amount of the loan.

**There is no loan number required to be on the policy

**The insurance agent must enter the correct Mortgagee Clause on the policy
